Akamas Peninsula
The Akamas peninsula, covers about 230 square km and is located on the western tip of Cyprus It is an area of great natural beauty unaffected by development. The uniqueness of the area for Cyprus, and for the whole of the Mediterranean, is centered on its precious ecology. The diversity of flora and fauna living in this relatively small area is truly impressive. A vitally important characteristic of this peninsula is its beaches. Akamas is the last large unspoiled coastal area remaining in Cyprus and one of the very few important sea turtle nesting areas in the Mediterranean.

Wine Routes
A journey into the magnificent inland landscape along with the pleasure of locally produced wines. In this small island the production of wine dates back some 6000 years. Get to know the wonderful Cyprus wines by wine-tasting and try the grape based delicacies in the traditional villages, old monasteries or wine museums. The CTO (Cyprus Tourism Organisation) made seven wine routes where visitors can get acquainted with the island's enchanting and humble wineries. These wine routes in the Limassol, Pafos and Larnaka districts are visible on many different roads with road signs bearing the name of the wine route.
Cape Greko National Forest Park
This rocky cape on the south-east coast of Cyprus is an area of natural splendour that has officialy been declared a National Forest Park and conservation covering an area of nearly 4 milion square meters. Explore the multitude of intriguing nature trails lined with pine trees and a diverse botanical splendour whilst pausing to take in the spectacular views from the sea cliffs looking down to the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. Many benches are spread out along these trails to take a break from the walk and admire the surroundings in stillness. The Aphrodite nature trail which stretches 2 km along the North-East coast of Cape Greko which doubles up as a Cultural Route due to the mythical birth place of Aphrodite. A lovely monument to visit is the tiny white washed church of Agioi Anargyroi with steps that lead down to the sea where there is a place where Holy water runs. Another trail leads to the 'Cyclops' cave where there is a picnic site close by. Specially made cycling paths are strewn throughout. Taking a boat trip along the coast you will see that they are really striking, which is why they have been aptly named the 'Palaces'. Cape Greko has warm sea temperatures ranging from 160C to 280C and visibility reaching up to 40 metres. For this reason, and not to mention the wonderful scenery and the marine life, this area is very popular for divers.
Troodos UNESCO Global Geopark
Troodos is the largest mountain range in Cyprus, located in roughly the center of the island. Troodos highest peak is Mount Olympus at 1,952 meters, which hosts four ski slopes. The Troodos mountains are known worldwide for their geology and the presence of an undisturbed ophiolite sequence, the Troodos Ophiolite.The Troodos Geopark includes 110 communities with a total population of approximately 25,000 residents. The region combines enormous geological interest with the unique natural environment of Troodos, a long history of human settlements and the population's local customs and traditions.
